At Clothing Managmement Technology Ltd we are more committed than ever to our sustainable journey, where we have started with our people because we put people and the environment first. It matters to us who makes our clothes, and how they are treated. Fashion hasn’t paid fair in the past, and we want to ensure not only fair wages, but healthy work environments and better people practices in all our establishments.
Our offshore workforce is mixed gender, predominantly female, and we wanted to ensure they have a voice, without fear of suffering prejudice. Therefore, we have been participating in the Benkacem Cooperative Consulting (BCC) x NEXT PLC collaboration on The Gender Empowerment pilot project in Morocco for the last 12 months. This initiative will show first-hand the positive impact of women contributing to the economic lifecycle through training, development, and empowerment. This will help us to support our production teams shape their own futures inside our establishments and in their wider communities.
Whilst we continue to challenge ourselves to do better and do more, we are committed to investing in the future and making way for a more circular fashion system through the renewable fibres we are sourcing. That way our products can eventually be broken down at end-of-life and remade again in years to come, diverting them entirely from global landfills.
This is just the beginning of the practices we are planning so if you would like to become climate active with us, we can support your business to navigate the sustainable journey with us and reduce its carbon footprint, by starting to close the loop towards a more circular future.
From seed to seam we are here to support fashion businesses of any shape and size.
